Fresh and humble beauty reside in this inn.
Taking in the details, you will find tasteful antique furniture as well as small art pieces and crafts.

These art pieces are dyed by a Kyoto-based craftswoman using traditional techniques and unpretentiously embellish the newly renovated space.  Even now, it seems as if the entire space was meticulously crafted with an airy elegance.

The passage of time and the beauty of the crafts will further enhance the appeal of this space.  During your stay, no matter the brevity, feel the texture of dyed fabric art and crafts and soak up the atmosphere of the Mibu neighborhood—the land of fabric dyeing.

It may look like a compact accommodation at first, but if you open the partition from the entrance to the garden, it will become an open, large space.
The kitchen is equipped with induction cooktop, espresso machine, cooking utensils and cutlery, allowing comfortable long stays.
Enjoy freshly baked bread and soup for breakfast, curated from bakeries in Kyoto. Reservation required.
A main bedroom and a Japanese tatami room are both available to accommodate a group of guests up to 5 people.
The antique mizuya (shelf) placed by the window facing the garden was built in the Showa period.
A laundry machine is installed is available for our guests.
Someno House has been renovated to suit modern life, but some of the pillars and beams remain as they were at the time.
All the towels are made in Imabari, where it is recognized as the mecca of high quality towels in Japan.
A vase at the entrance, lighting in the living room, sliding doors... one of the ways to enjoy this house is to enjoy the antique pieces casually placed around the house.
Someno House has been renovated in the traditional way of machiya. Enjoy its elegance that is transmitted from within.
